Steam temperature and pressure reducers are widely used in various boiler systems, steam power generation devices, and are key equipment for purchasing steam from external sources, directly affecting energy efficiency, system operation, and downstream equipment safety.


A thermal power plant in Jiangsu provides thermal and electric services to about 100 enterprises in the high-tech zone where it is located. Using Emerson's professional selection software, select and calculate the models of pressure reducing valves, temperature reducers, and cooling water regulating valves, as well as the installation distance of straight pipe sections and temperature sensors, to ensure the downstream cooling effect.

 

  • Select Emerson Fisher's HP series regulating valve, which has the characteristics of stable structure, good regulating performance, and good shut-off sealing effect, effectively reducing valve leakage;
  • Fisher Whisper III noise reducing and Cavitrol III anti cavitation valve cages are selected for valve internals, and two-stage pressure reducing orifice plates are added to effectively reduce valve vibration and noise;
  • Considering the poor atomization effect of the actual temperature reducer, combined with on-site parameters, installation location, and economic factors, it is recommended to use Fisher spring mechanical atomization and adjust the ratio of Fisher DMA/AF-HTC temperature reducer to effectively improve the cooling effect and avoid energy waste;
  • Two stage design of safety valve: Based on the conventional steam flow rate, a two-stage safety valve protection system is adopted to reduce investment and improve safety;
