Photography 6.16.09 DC

I took a short trip to DC this past weekend to see family, explore a little bit of the usual Washington DC sights, and achieve some new photos to share. The first thing I noticed is how the DC Metro is terribly low lit but has many red lights to warn you where the platform edge is and where a tragic early demise would be.

I explored the Natural History Museum with my Aunt and immediate family and stumbled upon a nice, easy to shoot set up of fossilized shells ripe for my lens. I enjoy the tricks eyes can play on you when you see such a photo. It looks as if there are shells an inch from the lens along with shells meters away. Truth be told, the lower shells are just as close as the shells above them, only they are smaller and there are many more. Beautiful!

DC was a short visit and I plan on many visits back.
